Cozumel Project Overview
Land use change from tourism development as well infrastructure expansion including modification of coastline for the construction of piers and cruise ship terminals and black water pollution being dumped by cruise ships and water treatment plants have led to significant degradation and hydrological disruption on the island.
BlueMX is working with local organizations to conserve and restore mangroves on Cozumel Island and its surrounding ecosystem.
